I acknowledge the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live, work, and create. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. This land was, is, and always will be Gadigal Land.
Artist Statement
Everything I learned about femininity was taught through cautionary tales, oral stories told in domestic settings. Growing up in the 1970s, I absorbed these stories while witnessing an unconscious world surface, creating a space marked by vanishing and reappearance. These experiences shaped my early understanding of femininity and absence, two distinct yet interconnected threads that continue to guide my practice.
